About Robin
I am a small business owner and serial entrepreneur. I have grown companies to the point I no longer have to oversee the daily operations, including a full-service restoration company in Austin. My unique skill-set gained as a small business owner coupled with the knowledge of the building construction trade, estimating comes naturally to me. I am a certified Level III with Xactimate, licensed mold remediator in the state of Texas, IICRC Master certified in water, fire and textiles, and ABRA CBRT certified.
I enjoy being able to see somebody through one of the worst days of their life to a smile when they walk into a completely repaired home. In my spare time, I enjoy scoping and estimating damage in Xactimate, cultivating my entrepreneurial spirit, and spending time with my family.

Xactimate Estimates
My services include roofing, mitigation, flood, fire, and mold on residential and commercial estimates. I excel in the details of estimates, using proper codes to maximize profitability, noting line items needing explanation, and making sure to include typical items insurance adjusters omit.
For estimates written exclusively from scopes, there is a .5% of the RCV (total of the estimate before depreciation), minimum of $75.00, to load estimates per your scope notes. This means on a $15,000 estimate total, the fee would be $75.00. On a $200,000 estimate total, the fee would be $1000.00.
My fee is 1/2 price for any estimate over $500,000. Bulk discounts are available.
This fee includes: Provide under your trade name or professional name, appropriate sketches, labeled pictures (if required), room by room, line by line detailed Xactimate estimate per scope notes, and instructions based on your representations. Reasonable edits, revisions, and change orders are included. You will receive a complete .esx file, pdf report of your choice.
The typical turn around is 24 hours. Weekends and shorter turn-around time is offered at an additional fee.. Payment is due upon completion of a satisfactory estimate.
For on-site estimates, there is a 1% charge of the RCV (total of the estimate before depreciation), minimum of $1000.00. The fee includes a full sketch, labeled photos, eagle view or hover, and any per diem/travel expenses necessary. Reasonable edits, revisions, and change orders are included.
The typical turn around is 48 hours. Weekends and shorter turn-around time is offered at an additional fee. Payment is due upon completion of a satisfactory estimate.
Consulting
I have walked many construction site, talked to many owners, property managers, adjusters, agents, and clients, and spent endless hours detailing estimates in Xactimate. My experience in the industry allows me to help you facilitate communication, advise you on how to proceed with any number of losses, and help thwart problems you might be facing. Here are some ways I can help you:
Example 1 I can submit all scopes written to insurance carriers for payment and bug them until we reach a settlement.
Example 2 I can explain and document any scope written to help you maximize the settlement. Also, I can travel to a large loss, write a scope, and then instruct your team on where to demo and how to set requisite equipment.
Example 3 I can write an estimate based on your scope, then teach your estimator how/why I wrote
For any additional services, outside of a written estimate, the fee is $75.00 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
Templates
Macro templates are offered in my online store that your estimators can use to write their own claims. Simple copy and paste into your own estimate and change quantities as needed. We also have IICRC S500-based formulas for equipment setting!

Insurance Appraisals
If you don’t agree with your insurance company on the repair or replacement value of your property insurance claim you may have the option of invoking the appraisal clause. When you invoke appraisal, both you and the insurance company hire representatives, called Appraisers. I am uniquely qualified to appraise the value of home and business property insurance claims.
I am a veteran of hundreds of water and fire damage claims, both residential and commercial, highly certified and an expert at valuing mitigation and reconstruction costs. I use the industry-accepted standards and pricing to achieve the correct settlement with your interests in mind.
By holding the coveted level II status in Xactimate, the valuation software used by majority of the industry, I can review the insurance companies estimate, and the claim documentation, and inspect if necessary, to look for items that are underpriced or even left off their estimate. I can also create a top end retail estimate of the repairs even if you did some of the work. The key to a successful appraisal is an accurate and detailed bullet-proof estimate and someone to support it.
My Fee is $125/hour, 5-hour minimum.
